Rahul Gandhi suspends all upcoming poll rallies in West Bengal amid COVID-19 surge

In wake of rising cases of coronavirus in the country, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi suspended all his impending public rallies in West Bengal and urged other political leaders to deliberate on the consequences of holding large public rallies amid the present situation. "In view of the Covid situation, I am suspending all my public rallies in West Bengal. I would advise all political leaders to think deeply about the consequences of holding large public rallies under the current circumstances," he said in a tweet. Earlier today, Rahul Gandhi slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi who welcomed the huge gathering at his poll rally in West Bengal’s Asansol.
