Caveat Petition filed across High Courts and in SC on Nov 18; LVB-BDS merger plan to land in court?

It is reported that the RBI was already prepared for the shareholders of Laxmi Vilas Bank to object to the merger plan that has been put forth by the RBI of Laxmi Vilas Bank and DBS bank India Limited. As per the sources, the RBI has filed a caveat petition across high courts and also in the supreme courts against 24 shareholders of Laxmi Vilas Bank and this petition was filed on the November 18 just a day after the draft scheme of amalgamation of the RBI. ET Now has accessed the caveat petition that the RBI has filed, RBI apprehends that the shareholders may challenge the merger and RBI has pleaded the courts to notify the central bank of any petitions that are filed against it.
