How to choose a flight for travel during COVID | The Money Show

Ajay Awtawney, LiveFromALounge.com a once avid air traveller, took 2 flights earlier this week and came away with a pleasant experience both times. However, technical issues or state lockdowns still lead to flight cancellations. Ajay recommends booking flight tickets as late as possible to get a more firm indication of whether a flight is operating or not.

He also adds that the usual policy of a cancellation fee, a different fee for no show and a different fee for no date change is now being imposed by airlines but one can expect a full refund if the flight if its being cancelled due to an issue on the airline co's part.
