With the launch of EcoSport Facelift, Ford has redefined the SUV segment. Ford holds 85 per cent of localisation making of its SUV. The SUVs that are already ruling the segment of compact SUVs are Maruti Vitara Brezza and Tata Nexon. The Vitara is topping the sales chart every month and the Nexon earning accolade from a lot of automotive quarter. Ford has tried a bit more muscular look in its Facelift with the new headlamps, which include daytime running lights and bigger fog lamps from the previous one. At the back, spare wheel is fixed at the back side like it was in its predecessor with the new size of 17" of the wheel. The Tata Nexon is based on Coupe Inspired Aerodynamic Shape with signature Ivory white accents. Projector Headlamps are of high intensity road illumination with Split LED Tail Lamps at the rear. With raised height at 198mm and contrast roof, Vitara Brezza being the compact SUV category, have it all. The new EcoSport has got new dashboard design, which is complimented with 8" infotainment touchscreen which is only available in top two trims, while the lower models will come fitted with 6.5" touchscreen. Tata has crafted the Nexon with three-tone Interior Scheme, Premium surface textures and fabric crafted to perfection. The esque seating position of the Vitara Brezza gives it a real feel of a sturdy SUV. The new Facelift is loaded with features like cruise control, traction control, hill launch assist and ABS that will be standard across all trims. The infotainment system of the Nexon is of Harman, which supports Android auto and navigation. Ford has also offered speed dependent volume controls, voice commands for climate control and smartphone integration with Connectnext App suite. With a base price of Rs 7.31- 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), the EcoSport Facelift is a direct challenge to the other two SUVs -- Tata Nexon and Vitara Brezza, which are priced at Rs 5.9- 9.5 lakh and Rs 7.2- 9.7 lakh, respectively.
