Article 370: High schools open in Kashmir, students missing

State Administration has decided to reopen the higher secondary schools across the Kashmir Valley to fill the gap of education, which was there since abrogation of the article 370 on August 5. But the students didn't turn up to schools. Only staff members were present but there were no students in any of these schools. On October 3, the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan ordered all the Deputy Commissioners of the Valley and officials of the Education Department to open the higher secondary schools. However, when the state administration opened other schools last month, the outcome was similar.
