Added some NEE yesterday. It looks expensive but when I compare it to other renewable players, it looks cheap
Have had FPL/FPL Group/NEE stock since 1987. Retired from FPL in 2019. Enjoyed company match in my 401k for over 30 years. Very much enjoying the ride.
Any one tell me why this stock crashed from 200 to 60 in may 20211
Though this stock seems overvalued and unappreciated/uninterested, this is certainly a long term stock that provides a decent dividend. Seems to me you’ll get some money back via dividends and you’ll watch this stock grow. If you like boring, reliable, and value this stock is for you. If you like fast money or a quick growth then consider something else. This security is definitely for those of us that like to invest and forget. Cheers all!
Article on page B2 of today's print WSJ discusses how competitive suppliers of green electricity have become in the U.S. and worldwide. Indeed, Enel, Iberdrola, BP and Royal Dutch Shell have struck large, long term supply deals with major U.S. corporations.
It appears that economies of scale may be used to squeeze margins of smaller suppliers.
anyone here holding from when it was $3.00/share back in '85? LoL
No worries here everyone.
If you are long holding the stock with dividend reinvest, you're fine. You're picking up cheaper shares along the way.
I've learned it takes some time after stock splits for things to rebalance and settle.
Look at Visa and Apple.
Visa split 4-1 a while back and was hanging about their pre-split for a stretch of time, prior to moving forward. Similar to Apple, which split 4-1 not too long ago.
This is not a day trade or swing trade stock, and we are set for the future.
All is good here.
How makes nee batteries? Tesla?
Now might be the perfect time to get into gold before it’s too late due to inflation concerns. Since hitting lows back in April, gold prices have been steadily rising back up, recently reaching USD 1880+ per oz. At this rate, gold will reach USD 2000 per oz by summer, helping $NEE generate even more revenue from their Moss Mine while they also explore new mining opportunities.
$NEE is definitely a solid company because they have the Moss Mine, which produces nearly 40k oz per year and is still exploring new opportunities. Recent drill results showed extreme promise, and I'm even more excited for what the future holds!
$NEE just welcomed Raymond Threlkeld to the Board of Directors. Mr. Threlkeld is a seasoned mining professional with more than thirty years of experience in mineral exploration, mine operations and construction and executive management. Northern Vertex Chairman Douglas J. Hurst commented, "Ray is a recognized leader in our industry . . . He has a proven track record of technical and business successes that has continually created value for shareholders."
Results from $NEE ‘s multi-phase infill and resource expansion drilling program at the Moss Mine in NW Arizona have been released.
- 21.34 meters grading 1.98 g/t Gold and 23.75 g/t Silver in drillhole AR21-424R.
- 22.86 meters grading 1.32 g/t Gold and 17.43 g/t Silver in hole AR21-425R.
- Drilling indicates economically significant mineralization extends at least 140 meters from mining operations and remains open.
Great news for $NEE and a definite catalyst for growth, current MC is $143.64M.
Check it out

I read about NEE having a market capitalisation of $140.5 billion! Their balance sheet is really strong, where despite cash falling they improved the liquidity confidence for investors. You can read the full snapchat at @ecoshares on Instagram. They only cover climate change related firms.
A Great write up flexing both the Northern Vertex story of Moss Mine and Hercules, as well as Doug Hurst's past and current successes. We have the winning combo - top tier projects and top tier management to generate value for us!
Certainly worth a read if you are looking for exposure to #gold #silver. $NEE.V offers exposure as a gold producer, but also massive upside in exploration as they expand the resource and deposits at Moss, as well as at Hercules.
Just invested for long term growth here. As we are putting more money into green energy, I think this has good potential to grow.
why is this going down?
$NEE recently announced amazing drilling results at the Moss Mine in NW Arizona- they intersected 28.96 m grading 2.28 g/t gold and 28.84 g/t silver in Resource Expansion Drilling. The Ruth and Moss are about 175m apart at surface but intersects at a depth of about 100m below the Moss Mine's Center pit.
Northern Vertex is a company with 2 projects in Nevada and Arizona, has a combination of cash flow, production, strong management team, and promising exploration potential. $NEE closed today at $0.39 with a mc of only $149.39M. With gold prices steadily increasing (recently reached $1880+/oz), I'm feeling very bullish about this one.

You guys eschewed using my observations at your own peril. Hope is not a strategy, especially in investing. NEE has a quadruple whammy (to use a technical term :-) working against it in the near term: (1) Overly valued based on high growth expectations. And DPV drops rapidly in an inflationary, increasing interest rates environment. (2) Bonds and bond-like investments (e.g., utilities) perform extremely poorly in an increasing inflation/interest rate environment. (3) Technically, NEE is broken (see my recent posts). and (4) The financial pundits are going to have a field day in the coming days explaining the suddenly obvious causes of increasing inflation in the near to intermediate term. It's what they do.
9X sales for a utility? LOL. It's been a great ride. I'm out.
NEE is a great buy at its present price, remember when it was 48.00 a share and it went up to three hundred and split/. Well its the same company, only better with its growing green energy investments. In a few years you will wish you bought it.
I suspect TheStreet may have been prescient when it recommended shorting NEE to $68. Technically, NEE made a Death Cross when it fell through its 50 and 200 day moving averages a couple of days ago. Not a good indicator near term.
$NEE.v , glad to see some action with new board member Raymond Threlkeld
