Ever since the coronavirus pandemic, which originated in Wuhan in China, gripped the world, there is a major global movement to ban China-made products and services. Now with the India-China standoff and ensuing clash at the border at the Galwan Valley in Ladakh, where at least 20 Indian soldiers were killed, anger against China is further intensifying.
In the last 5-10 years, India has become a start-up hub and many of these start-ups, founded by Indians, are heavily funded by big Chinese investors.
While this model has worked effectively for Indian unicorns thus far, the increasing rage against China could hurt them. If the Chinese investors begin pulling out their investments, it could hit Indian companies and their employees badly.
