The latest ‘2017 Best Indian Brands Report’ by Interbrand, a global brand consultancy, ranks India’s top 40 valuable brands on the basis of their financial performance and influence on customers.
The report shows that over half of the top Indian brands are from five sectors: automotive, diversified, financial services, telecom, and technology.
The firms have been ranked basis their cumulative value, financial performance, the role brand played in influencing customer choice and the strength the brand has to command a premium price or secure earnings for the company.
The report said that the ‘Top 40 Indian Brands’ have a combined value of Rs 4,75,570 crore, which is an increase of 5% over 2016.
