Cities with the most expensive hotel rooms

India has seen tremendous growth in demand and supply dynamics of hotels especially in the Tier I and Tier II cities. With Indians becoming more cost conscious and travelling within the country, hotel room prices have gone up. The average occupancy of India in 2011 was 63 percent with an average room rate of INR 4,500. The top 6 cites witnessed an average room rate of Rs 5,200.
