10 most controversial online video games

After a Mumbai teenager jumped to his death while playing ‘Blue Whale Challenge’, the infamous internet game also known as ‘The Suicide Challenge’ made headlines once again.

Blue Whale started in Russia in 2013 and since then has allegedly caused 140 suicides in Europe and Asia. Philipp Budeikin, a former psychology student who was expelled from his university, claimed that he invented the game to ‘clean’ up the society by pushing to suicide those he deemed as having no value. The challenge involves a series of tasks given by administrators which players must complete, most of these inflict pain on the player. The final challenge is to commit suicide.

This is only one such game that is controversial. The market offers innumerable options of highly controversial online games which are best avoided. Let’s take a look at 10 of the most controversial Internet video games of all times.
