National Highways

Indian labourers use heavy machinery to work on a road leading to a construction site of Gujarat International Finance Tec City - GIFT City - on the outskirts of Gandhinagar, some 30 kms. from Ahmedabad on March 9, 2012. The construction on a 3.58 square kilometre area in the western Indian state of Gujarat has been designed to compete with global financial and information technology centres with a special economic zone (SEZ), international education zone, integrated townships, an entertainment zone, hotels, a convention centre, an international techno park and shopping malls among the facilities available and constructed by national and international firms.
