Wealth-X World’s ‘Ultra Wealth Report 2018’ has ranked the leading cities of the world on the basis of their ultra-wealthy individuals. The ‘Ultra-high net worth (UHNW)’ population is defined as an exclusive group of wealthy individuals, each with a net worth of $30 million or more.
Rankings are based on asset holdings, source of wealth, industry focus and philanthropic interests.
The report forecasts that by 2022 the global ultra wealthy population will rise to 360,390, which would be an increase of almost 105,000 from 2017. The level of UHNW wealth is also projected to rise to $44.3 trillion, implying an additional $12.8 trillion of newly created wealth over the next five years.
