Yatra box office collection Day 3: YSR biopic starring Mammootty sets cash registers ringing
Mammootty is in terrific form as he has given two notable films in Tamil and Telugu recently. He has been lauded for his performances in the recently-released Tamil film, Peranbu and Telugu film, Yatra.
It has been raining biopics in Tollywood. While NTR Kathanayakudu released in January, it is Yatra in February. On the third day of its theatrical run, the Mammootty-starrer has earned Rs 96 lakhs in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, while the ceeded share amounts to Rs 28.50 lakhs.
Yatra is being consistent when it comes to box office performance in Guntur, Nellore and Krishna. According to trade analyst Raghu Nandan Reddy, the film has earned Rs 82.30 lakhs, Rs 28.75 lakhs, Rs 40.78 lakhs in Guntur, Nellore and Krishna respectively.

Ever since director Mahi V Raghav's Yatra released, it has been doing exceptionally well in the US. On Sunday, The film has managed to earn Rs 11.38 lakhs in the US and so far, the film has raked in Rs 1.28 crore in three days.
Apart from the US, Yatra is faring well in the UAE as well. In two days of its theatrical run, the film has minted Rs 28 lakhs.
Yatra is based on late politician YS Rajasekhar Reddy, who changed the course of politics by going on a padayatra in 2003.
