Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro will now be available for pre-order from May 4 and not from April 27

Owing to its growing popularity, Xiaomi will soon be taking Redmi Note 5 Pro for pre-orders on Mi.com on May 4

It has been a little over two months that the Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 5 Pro in India. The company put up the phone for its first flash sales nearly a week after its launch and it was an instant hit. Subsequently, Xiaomi hosted several flash sales for Redmi Note 5 Pro on Mi.com and on Flipkart and once again the phone was a hit. Owing to the growing popularity of Redmi Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi will soon be taking the phone for pre-orders via its platform in India, but theres a twist.

Earlier this month, Xiaomi had announced that the phone will be up for pre-orders on Mi.com at 12 PM on April 27. But now it seems that the company has silently changed the date from April 27 to May 4. The news has been confirmed by the official Mi Forum and the revised date is also being reflected on Xiaomi India website.

Previously, Redmi Note 5 Pro was made available via pre-orders on Xiaomis e-commerce platform on April 13. Customers could sign in using their Mi or Facebook accounts to place their orders. Xiaomi also hosted a flash sale for Redmi Note 5 on April 25 however, its more popular phone, Redmi Note 5 Pro was missing from the sale. The company will now host its next flash sale for Redmi Note 5 Pro on the e-commerce website at 12 PM on May 2.

For those of you who dont know, lets take a quick glance at the specifications of Redmi Note Pro 5. Redmi Note 5 Pro is powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor coupled with Adreno 509 GPU. It is available in two memory variants-- one with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory and the other with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The phone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat which is based MIUI 9 and it is backed by a powerful 4,000mAh battery.

In terms of the camera, Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a dual rear camera setup with a 12MP sensor and a 5MP sensor. The dual tone camera comes with single tone flash and face recognition technology. In the front, the phone has a 20MP sensor with a selfie timer. As far as the pricing is concerned, while the 4GB variant is available for Rs 13,999, the 6GB variant is available for Rs 16,999.
