WhatsApp is one of the most used messaging apps across the globe. The messaging app has over 1.3 billion users around the world.
It has grown from being just a messaging app to a platform which allows users to share photos, videos, documents and many other things.
In order to expand its user base, WhatsApp is known to launch new features from time to time. Let’s take a look at the new features that the Facebook-owned app is going to release in the coming months.
WhatsApp Dark Mode
This is something that users have been waiting for eagerly. The Whatsapp Dark mode will allow users to change the background of the app from white to black which will not strain the eyes as much and also help in saving a lot of battery.
WhatsApp in-app browser
According to a report in WABetainfo, the social media platform will be introducing an in-app browsing feature. According to the report, this new feature was seen on the beta version of WhatsApp’s 2.19.74 update for Android users. The report adds that people who use the in-app browser will be able to hide their search history from Facebook and Whatsapp.
WhatsApp Group Invite
According to reports, now WhatsApp users will not be allowed to add people without their permission in a group. Even group admins will have to ask for your permission before adding you to a WhatsApp group. The feature will be available on the iOS beta version soon.
The social media giant is going to come up with new emojis soon. These emojis will include transgender male and transgender female symbols along with a pride flag for transgenders. The features have reportedly made their way to WhatsApp Web and WhatsApp Desktop but won’t be visible unless Unicode characters are used in the chat.
