As we move into another weekend, Gogglebox fans can rejoice as the nation's armchair critics will be speaking their minds on the latest programmes.

Saturday night entertainment comes in the form of another instalment of Saturday Night Takeaway and the return of The Wall.

But if that doesn't sound appealing, Star Trek Into Darkness also takes up a good portion of the evening schedule on Channel 4.

Lastly, Sunday evening kicks off with the return of Dancing on Ice after the most calamitous series yet had to take a break due to let its cast recover while murder mystery McDonald and Dodds provides an end-of-the-weekend wind-down.

Friday, 26 February

Grayson's Art Club - 8pm - Channel 4

Grayson and Phillipa Perry return with a second series of Grayson's Art Club where they are joined by Boy George.

The Culture Club star creates an artwork inspired by family, the theme of the week. Other guests include photographer David Bailey, artist Yinka Illori and comedian Harry Hill.

Everyone's favourite group of couch potatoes will be back as Gogglebox starts a new series on Friday.

Good pals Lee and Jenny are among those returning for the 17th series along with siblings Sophie and Pete, with many more of the usual stars set to make an appearance too.

Saturday, 27 February

Sci-fi fans are in for a treat as 2013 flick Star Trek Into Darkness will be broadcast on Channel 4 in the afternoon.

This sequel sees the enterprise crew head on a secret mission to track down the rogue Starfleet agent behind a terrorist attack on earth, but it soon exposes a hidden threat within the organisation itself.

Chris Pine stars as Captain Kirk alongside Zachary Quinto's Commander Spock with Benedict Cumberbatch assuming the role of the film's antagonist.

The Wall - 7.35pm - BBC One

Perhaps at first thought an unlikely presenting choice, Danny Dyer appears to have proved his worth as The Wall starts its third series on Saturday.

The game show geezer is on hand to guide Staffordshire couple Rhys and Stephanie as they go up against the infamous Wall to win a cash prize.

Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway - 8pm - ITV

Geordie duo Ant and Dec are joined by Andi Peters for another instalment of the entertainment show that kicked off its new season last week.

Gordon Ramsay's in the Star Guest announcer booth while the pair bring back pandas Bam and Boo for a pre-filmed segment and there's an update in their comedy serial Double Trouble.

Meanwhile, one lucky viewer will have the chance to Win the Ads.

Sunday, 28 February

Proving that it might be an unlucky number after all, the 13th season of Dancing on Ice returns to screens on Sunday following a week off to allow for injured contestants and skaters to heal.

In that time Jason Donovan has pulled out due to a back injury making him the fifth contestant to withdraw.

Nonetheless it does go to show how difficult it is, so it's worth tuning in to see the remaining contestants continue against the odds.

Attenborough's Life in Colour - 7pm - BBC One

David Attenborough's back with a show exploring the breathtaking colours of the natural world in Life in Colour.

With help from the latest camera technology, he's explaining the amazing ways all creatures great and small use colour in their daily lives.

New technologies will also allow viewers to see things usually invisible to the human eye as ultraviolet cameras reveal bright signals on a butterfly’s wings and facial markings on yellow damselfish that are used as secret communication channels.

McDonald & Dodds - 8pm - ITV

Odd couple detective series McDonald and Dodds gets into its second season on Sunday with the first of three new feature-length episodes.

DCI Lauren McDonald (Tala Gouveia) and DS Dodds (Jason Watkins) have new crimes to solve on the streets of Bath and there are plenty of guest star turns along the way.

There'll be special appearances by Rob Brydon, Rupert Graves, Patsy Kensit and Martin Kemp with the first episode focusing on a hot air balloon ride gone wrong when five friends with a complicated history go up and only four come down.
