Vodafone is giving 70GB data with latest monthly plan: Price and other benefits are surprising

Vodafone has been struggling with its hold on the market lately, losing its subscribers to its rivals. However, the operator has been trying its best to keep its existing customers interested and working on improving its services in all the major circles. And to fend for itself, the operator has been coming up lucrative prepaid plans that focus more on benefits at lower prices than before. And one example of this can be seen with its latest prepaid plan.

Vodafone has been revising its plans under Rs 300 lately in a bid to offer more benefits regarding data and calls. After revising the Rs 229 plan, Vodafone is now worked on the Rs 255 plan for its prepaid customers. And the revision comes in the form of more data, which puts this plan ahead of a similar plan from Vodafone's main rivals. This plan has been available for the time being though.

If you go for the Rs 255 plan, Vodafone will now give you a total of 70GB data for use on its 4G LTE network. That translates to 2.5GB data per day for the entire validity period, which stands at 28 days. For a monthly prepaid plan, that just enough data for those who like to stream a lot of content from OTT apps. And given that it adheres to the 4G LTE network, the speeds should be fast, depending on network conditions in individual cities.

While the increase in data is the main highlight, Vodafone has retained all the other benefits which still make this plan great value. The Rs 255 plan from Vodafone offers unlimited voice calling, which is good for those who make a lot of calls. And additionally, you also get free 100SMSes per day.

The Rs 255 plan also qualifies for the Vodafone Play subscription. The Vodafone Play app gives access to Live TV channels, movies and TV shows from some popular TV channels. There are no free subscriptions from third-party OTT apps.

In comparison, at this price, Vodafone's plan doesn't seem to offer the best value, except for its lower price. Airtel has a plan for Rs 299 that also offers 2.5GB data per day. However, Airtel also offers a monthly free subscription to Amazon Prime Video worth Rs 129. Jio doesn't have a plan with similar benefits but it has a plan at Rs 299 that offers a 28-days validity with 3GB data per day.
