Upcoming Workshop for Ontario Public-Sector Agencies to Demonstrate How to Use Low-Code Development Solutions to Streamline Workflows

·4-min read

Public-sector agencies across Ontario will learn how to use ServiceNow’s intuitive, low-code app development solution to streamline and automate inefficient, manual workflows during a first-of-its-kind virtual technology workshop on June 9, 2021.

The 90-minute Virtual Innovation Workshop is specifically designed for public-sector agencies seeking modern technology solutions for working smarter, faster, and simpler. The free workshop is sponsored by the workflow solutions provider ServiceNow in partnership with Crossfuze, a leading ServiceNow Elite Partner.

"Public-sector agencies want to achieve digital transformation just like their private-sector counterparts do," said Jamey Anderson, Senior Vice President, Service Delivery at Crossfuze. "The purpose of the Virtual Innovation Workshop is to showcase how the same low-code solutions that have transformed the workflows of countless private-sector organizations can be adapted to serve the needs, priorities, and goals of government as well."

The Virtual Innovation Workshop, which is being offered exclusively to public-sector agencies, will focus on how public-sector agencies have used ServiceNow’s industry-leading Creator Workflows solution powered by the App Engine to solve their specific workflow-related challenges.

ServiceNow’s App Engine is an easy-to-use, low-code solution for developing workflow apps and other automations that transform how organizations get work done. The industry research firm Gartner ranked ServiceNow in the top-most Leader category in its most recent Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Low-Code Application Platforms, underscoring the power and potential of ServiceNow’s App Engine.

The Virtual Innovation Workshop will feature case studies such as the digital transformation journey of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which used ServiceNow’s App Engine to automate a 90-year-old financial assistance program for farmers and producers. Instead of sending program applications through a laborious, seven-step approvals process that involved printing, signing, scanning and emailing, the entire workflow was rebuilt from the ground up on ServiceNow’s low-code workflow development platform.

"We can’t wait to show our colleagues in the public sector how to connect their siloed systems and empower their teams to work smarter, not harder," said Anderson. "We know they are constantly looking for ways to innovate, save money, and streamline their workflows."

The fast-paced workshop will cover multiple customer-use cases, then transition to a unique, hands-on lab component that will engage workshop participants in how to build apps on the ServiceNow App Engine platform. App Engine is so simple to use that it’s designed to enable non-technical teams to build custom apps on the platform without any IT support.

ServiceNow selected Crossfuze as its partner for hosting this first-of-its-kind workshop because of Crossfuze’s extensive, deep experience helping organizations build low-code apps on App Engine.

"Crossfuze is a long-time, trusted ServiceNow partner with a long track record of digital transformation success stories," said Craig Steel, Global Vice President, Creator Workflows at ServiceNow. "Like ServiceNow, Crossfuze recognizes the critical role that Creator Workflows play in extending low-code, application development solutions to hundreds of organizations around the world."

The Virtual Innovation Workshop is open to all public-sector agencies in the Ontario area. It is scheduled for June 9, 2021 at 12 noon Eastern Time. Advance registration is required.
