New Delhi: State-run lender Union Bank of India plans to recruit 349 specialist officers, it said in an advertisement.
Of the 349 vacancies, 336 are for the posts of credit officers; two for the posts of economists; six for the posts of security officers; and one each for the post of manager (IT) and assistant general manager (IT), among others, the advertisement said.
Candidates will have to apply online through the bank's website www.unionbankofindia.co.in by April 23, 2013.
In 2011, the then Chairman of recruitment body Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), M V Nair had said that Indian state-run lenders are expected to recruit over 400,000 employees in the next couple of years, as a huge number of current employees are due to retire soon.
Founded on November 11, 1919, Union Bank of India has a network over 2,800 branches across the country.
