Tata Motors sales report for the month of October 2019 has been released. The model-wise sales report from Tata Motors, showcases the Tiago as their best-selling product in the Indian market, during the previous month.

The Tata Tiago registered 5,460 units of sales in the month of October 2019, to become the best-selling model from the brand in the Indian market. The Tiago hatchback is offered with a number of engine and transmission options.

This includes a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.05-litre diesel. Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual, with the petrol also receiving the optional AMT gearbox.

Second, on the list is the Tata Nexon offering. The Nexon is the brand's compact-SUV offering in the Indian market, which competes against the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport and the Maruti Vitara Brezza.

Tata Motors recorded sales of 4,438 units of sales from the Nexon in the previous month. This is, however, a drop from 4,608 units during October 2018.

The Tata Harrier is third on the list, with 1,258 units of sales in October 2019. The Tata Harrier is a mid-size SUV offering, launched in India earlier this year. The Harrier debut's the latest 'Impact 2.0' design language of the brand, which will be carried forward on all upcoming models.

The Tata Harrier performed well in the market during the initial months, bringing in consistent sales. However, with growing competition in the segment, especially with the likes of the MG Hector and Kia Seltos, the Harrier has been struggling to keep up with sales.

The company is currently working on introducing a seven-seater version of the SUV in the market as well; expected to be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo.

The Tata Tigor is next on the list, following the Harrier closely in terms of monthly sales. The Tigor compact-sedan registered 1,152 units of sales in the previous month. The Tata Tigor, similar to the Tiago is an attractive offering in its segment. The Tigor is offered in a bunch of variants to choose from, including an all-electric version as well.

Completing the top-five models is the Tata Zest. The Zest is another compact-sedan offering from the brand, introduced quite a while back in the Indian market. The Tata Zest registered 443 units in the previous month.

Model October 2019 October 2018
Tata Tiago 5,460 7,549
Tata Nexon 4,438 4,608
Tata Harrier 1,258 -
Tata Tigor 1,152 2,927
Tata Zest 443 896
Tata Hexa 229 745
Tata Safari Storme 165 642
Tata Bolt 24 137

Below, the Zest is Tata Motors' current flagship model, the Hexa. The Tata Hexa is the only seven-seater SUV in the brand's lineup. The SUV registered 229 units of sales in the Indian market. The model offers a host of features and equipment and is available with both manual and automatic gearbox options with its lone diesel engine.

The bottom two on the list are the Safari Storme and the Bolt. The two models have registered 165 and 24 units, respectively in October 2019. Both models have been in the Indian market for quite a while and do feel a bit outdated in terms of both design and features compared to the newer products.
