Sridevi death anniversary: Will her English Vinglish co-star Ajith attend puja in Chennai?

It has been almost a year since actress Sridevi passed away. On February 14, her husband Boney Kapoor with daughters Janhvi and Khushi will hold a puja in her Chennai home.

Pan-Indian actress Sridevi, breathed her last on February 24 last year, due to accidental drowning at her hotel room in Dubai. It has been almost a year, and her family members are still coming to terms with this unfortunate incident.

Now, her husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor will hold a puja in her maternal home in Chennai. The puja will take place on February 14, a week before her death date. Sridevi's family members and a few Kollywood actors are expected to attend the puja.

Sridevi was very fond of actor Ajith, with whom she shared screen-space in English Vinglish. Though Ajith refrains from attending any public events, he might make an exception for this. According to sources, Ajith might attend the puja that will be held in her Chennai home, which is next to late politician-actor M Karunanidhi's house.

Also, Ajith shares a great rapport with Boney Kapoor, who is producing the actor's two films. Ajith and Boney are currently working on the Tamil remake of Hindi flick, Pink.

A report published by an entertainment portal reveals that Anil Kapoor, his wife Sunita, Sanjay Kapoor and several members of the Kapoor family are expected to attend the puja.

Meanwhile, it is being reported that the full-fledged shooting of Tamil remake of Pink will go on floors a few days after the puja. The untitled film, directed by H Vinoth, will release on Ajith's birthday, which falls on May 1.
