Share market Highlights: Sensex, Nifty end higher; Yes Bank falls more than 2%

The Indian headline indices – Sensex and Nifty closed higher on Friday. The markets turned volatile before ending higher, in the morning both the indices had opened mildly higher. While, the Sensex settled at 39,615.90, up 86 points from the previous close, the Nifty also closed higher at a level of 11,870.65 points, 26.50 points higher than the last settlement. Among the top gainers on BSE are IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finance, Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) and State Bank of India (SBI), while the top losers are Yes Bank, Power Grid Corp and Sun Pharmaceutical.

Among Nifty stocks, the leading gainers were IndusInd Bank, Bharati Infratel, and Bajaj Finance, whereas the losers were Dr Reddy, Cipla and Yes Bank.
