The Indian headline indices- Sensex and Nifty ended higher on Tuesday amid positive global cues. While the Sensex ended at 39,9950.46 level, up 165.94 points from the previous close, the Nifty50 settled at 11,965.60, higher by 42.90 points from the last close. The top gainers on BSE are Tata Motors, IndusInd Bank, ONGC, Yes Bank, ICICI Bank and Vedanta while losers are Sun Pharma, M&M, Hindustan Liver and L&T.
Shares of Indiabulls Housing Finance fell on Tuesday morning after the legal action was filed against the company for the alleged siphoning off of 98,000 crores of public money. Today, the Indiabulls Housing Finance shares ended at Rs 674 a share, 59.05 points lower than the previous close.
The Jet Airways stocks also traded lower and plunged to its 52-week low at Rs 107.15 per share after its two operational creditors Shaman Wheels and Gaggar Enterprises on Monday moved the NCLT seeking bankruptcy proceedings against the debt-stricken airline. Today, the ailing airline’s shares ended at Rs 109.75 a share, down 15.45 points from the last close.
