Notably, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S10 series on February 20, 2018. So, the company launching its successor on the same date a year after does make sense. However, Samsung has not yet confirmed the arrival of the Galaxy S11 series and the Galaxy Fold 2.
Samsung Galaxy S11 Series Rumored Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy S11 series is said to arrive with the Galaxy S11e, Galaxy S11, and the Galaxy S11+. The Galaxy S11+ leaked renders and specifications suggest a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a center-aligned punch-hole, QHD+ resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate.
It is worth mentioning that Samsung smartphones currently offer a typical 60Hz display and it will be the first time that the company brings this higher refresh rate display. Under the hood, there could be an octa-core Snapdragon 865/ Exynos 990 processor. It is likely to be available with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The leaked renders have suggested a square-shaped rear-camera module packing a 108MP exclusive custom sensor. This sensor is said to be better than the existing 108MP ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor. Lastly, a 5,000 mAh battery is said to power the Galaxy S11+ supported by both wireless and fast charging.
The Galaxy S11e has also been certified online with a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED display offering 1440 x 2280 pixels resolution and the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The processor is likely to be the same as the Galaxy S11+, i.e, Snapdragon 865/ Exynos 990 SoC. But, it is said to come with a lower 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration and a smaller 3,730 mAh battery.
As for the Galaxy Fold 2, the information on its hardware and software is scarce. However, some leaks have tipped a foldable clamshell design which we saw on the recently launched the Moto Razr foldable phone.
