Ahead of its global availability on August 24, Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy Note 9 in India on Wednesday. The newest flagship from the South Korean giant was up for pre orders for several days and Samsung will officially announce the device for India today. The company has already announced the pricing and availability of the Galaxy Note 9 ahead of launch. We have already reviewed the device and have found it to be the best Samsung Note yet thanks to its stunning AMOLED display which is the biggest yet on a Note device, a powerful performance, stellar cameras and a large battery that helps it last a whole day. You can catch the livestream on the event via Samsung's official website.

Samsung has revealed that the Galaxy Note 9 starts at Rs 67,900 for the base model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The top-end variant with a 8GB + 512GB configuration will cost you Rs 84,900. The flagship will be offered in three colours - Midnight Black, Ocean Blue and Metallic Copper - and will be available via Samsung's online store, Flipkart and via offline channels.

The Galaxy Note 9 comes with a slightly bigger 6.4-inch screen with QHD+ (2960×1440) Super AMOLED Infinity display compared to its predecessor. Powering the device is a Snapdragon 845 chipset, but the variant coming to India will get an Exynos 9810 chipset. This is coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 512GB more via microSD card.

Samsung has also fitted a large 4,000mAh battery, which is a major bump from the Galaxy Note 8 as well as the Galaxy S9+. The device runs Android Oreo out-of-the-box with Samsung's Experience UI on top.

Cameras remain mostly the same as the Galaxy S9+. You get a 12MP + 12MP dual camera setup with dual OIS and the f/1.5-2.4 variable aperture feature that has won the Galaxy S9 phones a lot of praise. Arguably, the biggest change comes to the S Pen which now gets Bluetooth support, adding more functionalities than ever before.
