It is already known that Samsung is working on the next-generation smartphones in the Galaxy A 2020 series. One of the first devices in the lineup to see the light of the day is believed to be the Galaxy A51, which has been hitting the rumor mills quite frequently of late.

Previous reports have hinted that the Galaxy A51 could be unveiled sometime this month. However, a concrete date for the launch of the smartphone was not known. Adding credibility to this claim, the mass production of the smartphone was also said to have debuted last month itself. Now, an official confirmation of the launch date comes in the form of a YouTube video.

Samsung Galaxy A51 Launch Date Confirmed

A promo video shared by the official YouTube channel of Samsung Vietnam suggests that the Galaxy A 2020 series will be launched on December 12. Though the teaser does not divulge the name of the upcoming smartphone, it confirms that the smartphone will sport a punch-hole cutout at the top center as seen on the Galaxy Note 10.

Notably, the design of the device shown in the video seems to be similar to that of the Galaxy A51, which is likely to be unveiled in India sometime this month. Notably, the design of the upcoming smartphone was revealed by a set of renders. Eventually, we believe that the Galaxy A51 is the device that has been teased in the Galaxy A 2020 series.

What We Expect

As of now, there is no confirmation regarding what we can expect from the Samsung Galaxy A51. From the leaks and speculations we have seen earlier, it is believed that the smartphone might arrive with a bezel-less Infinity-O OLED display. Similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy A50, this smartphone is also said to arrive with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

When it comes to imaging, the Galaxy A51 is said to feature a quad-camera setup arranged in L-shape. One of the camera sensors is likely to be a macro lens. Notably, the incorporation of a macro lens is sure to reduce the cost of the device as compared to a depth sensor. So, the Samsung Galaxy A51 could be a premium mid-range smartphone with relatively affordable pricing.
