Realme X hate-to-wait sale today at 8pm: Price, specs and where to buy

Realme will hold a hate-to-wait sale for the Realme X for die-hard fans later today. The Realme X starts at Rs 16,999 and brings a Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 710 chipset and 48MP dual camera setup, among other things.

Realme X was launched in India earlier this week and will see its first sale on July 24 at 12pm on Flipkart and Realme.com. During the launch event, the company also announced a special hate-to-wait sale for the Realme X, which will take place today i.e July 18 at 8pm. The Realme X (Review) sale today will be for die-hard fans who are eager to purchase the newest premium mid-range smartphone before everyone else.

The Realme X hate-to-wait sale will likely see only a limited number of devices up for grabs. As of now, the company has not provided any clarity on this special sale, but we have reached out to the company for details and we will update this story once we find out. The hate-to-wait sale will begin at 8pm on Flipkart and Realme's online store.

Realme X was launched in India starting at Rs 16,999. The base model is offered with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is also an 8GB + 128GB variant of the Realme X, which is priced at Rs 19,999. The Realme X comes in two colour options - Polar White and Space Blue. The company also announced the Realme X Master Edition in Onion and Garlic-inspired finishes and the Realme X Spider-Man: Far From Home edition priced at Rs 19,999 and Rs 20,999, respectively. These special edition phone, however, will be available in August.

Relame X specifications

Realme's latest premium mid-range smartphone touts a notchless display. It sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and over 91 percent screen-to-body ratio. To remove the notch, the company opted for a pop-up selfie camera mechanism. The glasstic rear panel comes in a glossy finish in gradient Space Blue and Polar White colours. The Realme X offers an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock.

The Realme X is powered by a 2.2Ghz octa-core Snapdragon 710 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone supports dual nano SIM cards but there is no support for storage expandability. The Realme X houses a 3,765mAh battery and supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging, which will charge the device from zero to 100 per cent in around 80 minutes. The smartphone ships with ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie.

Apart from its Super AMOLED display, the Realme X also highlights a 48MP dual camera setup on the back. The camera system includes a 48-megapixel Sony IMX 586 f/1.7 sensor for high-resolution photos and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The main camera also supports Nightscape and Chroma Boost modes as well as AI scene detection. The pop-up camera houses a 16-megapixel selfie sensor which also supports portrait mode.

In our Realme X review, we said that the smartphone offers fantastic value for its price. It impressed us with its bright Super AMOLED display, great set of cameras and fast performance especially while gaming. Some downsides to the device is the lack of external storage and Widevine L1 support.
