Nifty IT index ended up 1.78% at 18188.75 today. The index has added 15.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, NIIT Technologies Ltd jumped 5.48%, Mphasis Ltd gained 3.03% and Infosys Ltd added 2.77%. The Nifty IT index has increased 17.00% over last one year compared to the 3.17% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty FMCG index increased 1.37% and Nifty Metal index added 1.37% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.89% to close at 11200.15 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 0.96% to close at 38025.45 today.
