Prepaid recharge under Rs 100: Best all-rounder plans from Jio, Airtel, Vodafone and BSNL
Telecom operators have been quite aggressive with their recharge packs across various price points lately. For postpaid subscribers, a lot of plans have been offered across various price points. Initiated by Vodafone, most telecom operators have now started offering additional goodies in the form of complimentary subscriptions to OTT platforms or extra data. However, for prepaid users, the offers aren't as great as those of prepaid users.
With most of the operators, subscribers get data benefits with all-rounder recharge packs mostly on packs that cost above Rs 300. However, for those who don't want to go for similar higher priced plans, a few options exist in the sub-Rs 100 category. While a few operators actually have recharge plans under Rs 100, other operators come with useable all-rounder packs at slightly higher prices than Rs 100.
Top prepaid recharge packs around Rs 100
Reliance Jio offers some of the most affordable prepaid recharge packs and it is the only operator that offers a recharge pack under Rs 100. Jio prepaid users can get the Rs 98 plan, which offers a validity of 28 days. The plan offers 2GB of 4G data allotment and offers 300SMSes free. As with all Jio plans, it offers unlimited calls and offers free subscription to Jio apps.
If you are willing to spend slightly more, then you can go for the Rs 149 pack that offers 1.5GB data per day for a period of 28 days. It offers unlimited calls and 100 free SMSes. You also get a free subscription to Jio apps.
Airtel doesn't offer any all-rounder pack under Rs 100. However, the pack that comes closest to Rs 100 is the Rs 119 pack. The plan offers 1GB of 3G/4G data with a validity of 28 days. The plan also offers up to 300 free SMSes and unlimited calls.
If you can spend a little more, you can get the Rs 145 plan. This plan offers a validity of 42 days and offers 1GB free data. However, the plan doesn't offer free calls - local/STD/landline calls at 30p per minute.
Vodafone doesn't offer plans with massive benefits under Rs 100. There's a plan that costs Rs 95 and offers a validity of 28 days. However, the plan only offers 500MB free data. The plan also offers local/STD calls at 60paise per minute. Subscribers also get a talktime of Rs 95.
If you can spend more, there's another plan at Rs 145. This plan offers a validity of 42 days and offers talktime of Rs 145. The call rates stand at 30 paise per minute.
BSNL too doesn't have any prepaid recharge plan under Rs 100. However, there's a plan of Rs 118. This plan offers 1GB of data for use in 2G and 3G networks. The plan offers unlimited local, STD and roaming calls. With this pack, subscribers can also get t select free caller tunes with unlimited songs change.
