Rahul Gandhi said that Modi turned the surgical strike into a political asset when it actually was a military decision

Congress President Rahul Gandhi during an interaction with members of business communities and professionals, in Udaipur on Saturday, launched an attack on PM Modi, saying, that the Prime Minister interferes in all kinds of work including that of the army. PM Modi turned surgical strike into a political issue.

Modi interfered into army's domain and turned military asset of the surgical strike into a political issue. PM interfered with the army. He reached into the army's domain and shaped their surgical strike. He turned it into a political asset when it was actually a military decision, Gandhi said.

Gandhi also questioned Modi over Hinduism, saying, PM Modi claims to be a Hindu, but does not know even the basics of it. What is the essence of Hinduism? What does the Gita say? Everyone knows it. Our PM says he is a Hindu but he doesn't understand the foundation of Hinduism. What kind of a Hindu is he?" Gandhi also alleged, In the last five years, Modi never called me, Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh, not even Advani ji to discuss any issue.

Hitting back, BJP president Amit Shah said, The Congress is now preaching us about Hinduism. They are giving us lessons of Gita. Gandhi also claimed that nonperforming assets (NPA) of banks was `2 lakh crore during UPA rule and it rose to `12 lakh crore during the BJP government at the Centre. The government waived loans of 15 to 20 industrialists. The banking system is concentrated only for them. NPA is not of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, traders, doctors or lawyers, Gandhi said.

On demonetisation and the GST implementations, Gandhi claimed that people have confusion about these. It was a scam, which opened doors for big companies.

Demonetisation and the GST shattered the economy and broke common man's back. It opened doors for big companies, he said, alleging that the BJP government at the centre failed to create job opportunities for the youth. When asked about data privacy, Gandhi said, IT companies have understood that India and China have large data.

Data should remain with people and not crony capitalists. That is our belief. Claiming that even though India has medical insurance schemes like Ayushman Bharat, it does not have good hospitals, the Congress chief said, We cannot run the country without pumping money into public health and education sectors. India will surpass China if we have the right government for the next 15-20 years. Respect those who have skills, India will surpass China. China has a lead but we have not lost the competition.
