Poll: Do airlines in India treat passengers rudely?

A video of a passenger being manhandled by IndiGo staffers has emerged and is going viral on social media.

In a horrifying incident, an elderly passenger with IndiGo was manhandled and assaulted by the airlines staff for being abusive and ‘flouting’ security norms. The shocking video that has now gone viral shows two strapping young employees first restraining the man and then slamming him to the ground. The reason for them behaving so was attributed to the passenger refusing to move from near the aircraft – an area which was in the shade – before he could board the bus to the terminal after arrival.

Even though the airlines personnel were just doing their jobs by informing the man of the hazards of standing near the airplane turbines, do you think they were justified in handling the situation in this violent and disrespectful manner? Do you think airlines these days – with burgeoning traffic, rampant, security issues and irate passengers – have become a law unto themselves and need to be put in their places?
