PM Modi interview LIVE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday morning is giving an interview, just months after his last television interaction and days away from the crucial 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
The official twitter handle of Republic Bharat broke the news on Thursday that PM Modi s interview will be aired on the channel on Friday at 8 am.
Although PM Modi s previous interview was to Asian News International (ANI) editor Smita Prakash in January 2019, he has also given interviews TV channels such as Times Now, Zee news and News18.
PM Modi s interview with ANI editor Smita Prakash had garnered a mixed response from across the political spectrum. Congress chief Rahul Gandhi had alleged that it was a staged interview and had made remarks on Prakash leading to the BJP demanding an apology from Gandhi and a condemnation from the National Union of Journalists (India) which said that it was unbecoming of the chief of the Congress party to mock the ANI editor.
Speaking about the forthcoming 2019 general elections, PM Modi had said: It is going to be Janta (people) versus the gathbandhan (coalition).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also spoken about the contentious issues in the country such as Ayodhya dispute, demonetisation, GST, Doklam standoff with China, triple talaq, and relations between India and Pakistan post the Pulwama attack.
