Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Intel (INTC) and others that make semiconductor devices for PCs are likely in for another lean year, but they could see a slight sales gain, analysts said. Market tracker IDC said global chip revenue fell 2.4% in '12 due in part to global economic uncertainty. But it expects sales to grow 3.2% this year, to nearly 384 mil units. Sluggishness will continue in first half '13, with a pickup expected in the latter half, IDC said. Intel shares rose 1.1% to 22.11. AMD rose 1.49% to 2.72.
