Paperless Address Updation In PAN Via Aadhaar e-KYC: Here's The Process

PAN is an universal ID that enables tax department to track an individual's financial transactions. And though there is no change on the unique ID in case some particular change and one for the same has to fill in the PAN updation form. Nonetheless, as a recent facility, address updation in PAN can now be routed through the e-KYC option in a paperless mode.

The facility entails no cost and can be availed by individuals who want to make the updation in an individual's address record on PAN as per the aadhaar database.

Process of address updation in PAN

For this paperless process, you need to have aadhaar ID as well as your mobile number should be linked to aadhaar. And the OTP will be sent to the linked e-mail id or mobile number for generting aadhaar based eKYC.

Then the address as per the aadhaar database will be updated in the records of PAN. Then after the updation is successfully done then the user will be sent the confirmation intimation for the same on his or her mobile and e-mail address provided.

Here in during the process, you need to follow the below steps:

1. Visit the TIN-NSDL site

2. There will be a option of paperless address update in PAN. Click on that

3. Give in your PAN, aadhaar, e-mail ID and mobile number

4. After you press in the submit button, you allow the portal to incorporate address provided in your aadhaar to your PAN database as well. You will further have to authenticate using Aadhaar authentication system Key in the Captcha code and click on Submit.
