Oviya on 90 ML trailer being trolled for explicit content: Don't judge seed before tasting fruit

The trailer of Oviya's upcoming film 90 ML was criticised for being sexually explicit. The actress has now responded to the trolls who slammed her for choosing this movie.

Oviya's fame shot sky high after she made a name for herself in Big Boss Tamil season 1. Her followers, Oviya Army, supported her in every stride and were eagerly waiting for her first film post-Bigg Boss. Yesterday, the trailer of her forthcoming flick 90ML was unveiled.

Initially, 90ML was promoted as a women-centric film. But, the trailer revealed that it is an adult film with sexually explicit content. Many of her fans lashed out at her for starring in an adult film, especially when little kids are trying to emulate her.

Now, Oviya has reacted to the controversy surrounding the trailer of 90ML. She took to Twitter to clear the air and wrote, "Hey guys. pls dnt judge a seed before tasting the fruit. Wait for the main film #90ml which is Censored. (sic)"

A few critics and producers have opined that such films with adult-content should never be released as it brings a bad name to Kollywood. Also, many pointed out that the film propagates fake feminism and it should not be misused like the lead actresses in the film.

In 90ML trailer, Oviya and four other girls are shown drinking and smoking. The film's content is bold and has many double entendre dialogues in addition to several making-out scenes.

90ML, directed by Anita Udeep (Alagiya Asura), was censored with an A certificate by the censor board. Starring Oviya, Bommu, Masoom, Shree Gopika, Monisha, Anson Paul and Tej Raj in prominent roles, the adult film has music scored by Simbu aka STR.
