OnePlus 7 Pro launched in India: Price, specifications, cameras and all you need to know

The OnePlus 7 Pro is an ultra-premium flagship phone from OnePlus and offers several premium features, including a 90Hz display. The OnePlus 7 Pro is available from Rs 48,999.

The OnePlus 7 Pro (review) has finally been launched after several weeks of suspense. Since it started leaking, the OnePlus 7 Pro was expected to be a premium flagship and sure enough, OnePlus offered it as a premium flagship that offers almost no compromises from OnePlus. The OnePlus 7 Pro starts from Rs 48,999 and comes in three colour variants -- Mirror Grey, Nebula Blue and Almond.

Since it's a premium flagship smartphone, OnePlus has baked in a host of exclusive features. The 90Hz AMOLED display is the biggest attention seeker that offers a smooth user experience. The OnePlus 7 Pro also becomes the first phone in India to use the Snapdragon 855 chipset. It also comes with triple rear cameras that have nabbed a DxOMark score of 111.

OnePlus 7 Pro specifications

Display: The OnePlus 7 Pro gets a 6.67-inch Quad HD+ display. It's an AMOLED screen with absolutely no notch, thin bezels and curved edges. The screen has a refresh rate of 90Hz.

Processor: The OnePlus 7 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor.

RAM: The OnePlus 7 Pro comes with either 6GB, 8GB or 12GB RAM.

Storage: The OnePlus 7 Pro offers either 128GB or 256GB storage. The phone uses UFS 3.0 storage.

Rear Camera: The OnePlus 7 Pro gets a combination of a 48-megapixel primary camera along with a 16-megapixel wide-angle camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera triple camera setup. The primary camera gets a Sony IMX586 sensor.

Front Camera: The OnePlus 7 Pro get a 16-megapixel selfie camera sitting on a motorised pop-up camera.

Battery: The OnePlus 7 Pro is kept alive by a 4000mAh battery and gets the 30W Warp Charge from the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition.

Software: OnePlus 7 Pro runs on Oxygen OS which is based on Android 9 Pie.

OnePlus 7 Pro features

-- The OnePlus 7 Pro is the company's first ultra-premium flagship smartphone. Prior to this, the most expensive OnePlus device was the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition.

--The OnePlus 7 Pro uses the same Sony IMX586 48-megapixel camera used in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro, oppo F11 Pro and some other phones. The camera will take photos by default in 12-megapixels and users will need to manually switch to 48-megapixel mode.

--OnePlus has built-in a safety mechanism for the pop-up front camera system. When the phone is dropped, the device uses the sensors to detect the drop and quickly closes the front camera to protect it from absorbing the shock and preventing possible damage.

--The OnePlus 7 Pro gets a 90Hz display but isn't the first phone to get it. Previously, the Asus ROG Phone got a 90Hz display while the Razer Phone had a 120Hz display.

--The OnePlus 7 Pro will be a part of the Android Q Beta program. It's slated to receive two Android OS updates and three years of security patches.

--The base variant with 6GB RAM will only be available in the Mirror Grey colour. The 8GB RAM variant will be available in all three colours while the 12GB varinat will only get the Nebula Blue colour.

OnePlus 7 Pro price and availability

The OnePlus 7 Pro will be available in three colour variants -- Mirror Grey, Almond and Nebula Blue. The base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage will cost Rs 48,999. The 8GB RAM and 256GB variant of the OnePlus 7 Pro will be available at a price of Rs 52,999. Finally, there is the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant of the OnePlus 7 Pro. This will be available only in nebula blue and will sell at a price of Rs 57,999.
