Camping in the Kashmir valley, the National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is working on a multi-pronged strategy to implement the Kashmir plan of the Narendra Modi government.
Having landed in Srinagar on August 6, the NSA's first priority is to keep the morale of the armed forces, including the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Police, high.
The NSA first met the J&K Police personnel in his first meetings with the armed forces personnel. The NSA met them first and also made it a point to reach them in their accommodation and greet them on the occasion of Eid, government sources told India Today TV.
Secondly, to carry forward his plans for establishing long-lasting peace in the Valley, Ajit Doval has been meeting people and representatives from all walks of life.
Two days ago, he had held a meeting with representatives of apple growers and sheep-rearing community of the Valley. Then he also met religious leaders, including maulvis of different mosques, in the state, sources said.
The idea is to create an atmosphere where all the stakeholders get a feeling that they have a role to play in the state and also that the Centre is there to take care of all groups and communities.
In order to implement the plan, the NSA has also given an important role to all the key people including the state Chief Secretary BR Subrahmanyam, police chief Dilbagh Singh and the Army's in-charge for the Valley Lt Gen KJS Dhillon.
