ITC: According to sources, MD Sanjiv Puri may be named Chairman. The announcement may come today when board meets to declare results.

L&T/ Mindtree: Sources say that SEBI queries delayed bid by L&T for Mindtree. L&T will have to postpone its open offer by at least 15 days. The open offer was scheduled to start on May 14 and close on May 27.

The regulator has questioned Mindtree's dividend policy and has sought details. On April 18, Mindtree board announced a total dividend of 270% or Rs27/share.

DHFL: The company has paid over Rs 30,000 Cr principal, interest to editors since September 24. The collection efficiency remained over 99% every month. There has been no impact on collections & servicing activity.

GAIL: The company has accelerated work for Jagdishpur-Haldia & Bokaro-Dhamra Pipeline project. The company has completed awards worth Rs 10,500 crore for line pipe supply and laying. It has also exceeded its Capex target of Rs 6,400 Cr for FY 2018-19.

Tata Steel: The European Commission has rejected the company's joint venture with ThyssenKrupp. The company, however, remains committed to the strategy in Europe and would explore options to achieve similar outcomes. The company also said that operations in India were well positioned to enhance earnings.

Sources say that the company may seek to recalibrate balance sheet through sizeable asset sales. This may include exiting some international markets.

Etihad: The aviation major has confirmed their interest to reinvest in Jet Airways. Jet Airways interest areas subject to conditions. Etihad has said that they cannot be the sole investor in the debt-laden airline and that they will continue to work will stakeholders to revive jet.

Jet Airways: According to sources Etihad says it can only invest Rs1700cr in Jet. The airline is being non-committal on Jet’s dues and has sought a one-time settlement.
