Mahindra Two-Wheelers has just released a teaser of the upcoming Mojo BS6 motorcycle via their social media handles. The images show the Mojo's silhouette, and also reveal that there are no noticeable changes in its design.
The teaser is in sync with the motorcycle that was spied while testing recently. The biggest change to the motorcycle is the BS6 upgrade. The tourer is not expected to feature more changes.
The Mahindra Mojo BS6 will be powered by a 295cc liquid cooled, single cylinder engine that produces 26.8bhp and 30Nm of torque, and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. Expectations are that there will be some minor differences in the performance figures.
Current-generation motorcycles feature upside down forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 320mm disc at the front, and a 240mm one at the rear.
The motorcycle also features twin-pod headlamps, LED tail lamps, split grab rails, a massive 21-litre fuel tank, and Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres that offer excellent traction.
The Mahindra Mojo BS6 model is expected to be priced at around the Rs 2 lakh mark once launched. The motorcycle will compete with the Bajaj Dominar 400, the KTM Duke 200, and the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
Mahindra has no other two-wheelers in terms of product development. The brand last launched the Gusto 110 CBS and 125 CBS scooters during August last year, and hasn't announced any new two-wheeler plans.
The 110 CBS model is available in two variants, while the 125 CBS is available only in one. Upgrades to both the models are limited to safety features that are now mandatory in the country.
All vehicles below the 125cc mark have to feature a combined braking system, and those about 125cc have to feature at least single-channel ABS for enhanced safety. To know more, click here.
