New Delhi: Indian private sector general insurer Liberty Videocon General Insurance Co Ltd Monday said that it has opened offices in four more cities in the country.
The company has commenced operations in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune, Liberty Videocon General Insurance said in a statement.
"With the opening of these branches, Liberty Videocon General Insurance has increased its presence to seven metro cities in India," Roopam Asthana, chief executive officer and whole time director, Liberty Videocon General Insurance, said.
Headquartered in Mumbai city, Liberty Videocon General Insurance is a joint venture between India's Videocon Industries Ltd and the US-based Liberty Mutual Insurance Group.
The non-life insurer obtained a license to operate in the industry from the Insurance Regulatory Development Authority (IRDA) in May 2012. The insurer formally launched its operations earlier this year.
Recently, Asthana had said that the company expects to break even in the next five to six years.
