Introduced at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress (MWC 2018), LG V30s ThinQ and LG V30s+ ThinQ will now start selling in South Korea. The company has formally announced the prices of the smartphones in home country.

LG V30s ThinQ with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is priced at KRW 1,048,300 which translates to approximately Rs 64,200. The V30s+ with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage costs KRW 1,097,800 (approximately Rs 66,900). It is unclear as to when the smartphone will launch in India and whether both the variants will be introduced.

The smartphone is essentially an upgraded version of last year’s V30 with subtle improvements including AI integration, more memory, new colors, and an enhanced camera. The smartphone is available in two new color choices of Moroccan Blue and Platinum Gray.

The LG V30s and V30s+ ThinQ differs in terms of storage. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.0-inch OLED FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the older Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC is paired with 6GB of RAM +128GB internal storage in V30s and 6GB of RAM + 256GB of internal storage in V30s+. Both the variants support storage expansion up to 2TB.

For optics, the smartphone gets a dual-camera setup at the back which includes a 16-megapixel standard angle sensor + 13-megapixel wide-angle sensor. Up front, there’s a 5-megapixel wide-angle camera with f/2.2 and 90-degree field-of-view. The camera is integrated with Vision AI that offers three features AI Cam, QLens, and Bright Mode.

The company also announced that existing LG V30 users will receive the AI capabilities for the camera through a software update. Sadly, the update will be rolled out on September.

On the software front, LG V30s runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. It is fueled by a 3,300mAh battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a, b, g, n, ac, Bluetooth 5.0, BLE, NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0 (3.1 compatible). Other features include Voice AI, which allows users to run apps and change settings using voice commands. The Voice AI works alongside the Google Assistant. The LG V30S ThinQ further includes IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC audio support, face recognition, fingerprint sensor, and supports wireless charging.
