LG Q9 inches closer to launch after NRRA certification
Earlier this month, fresh image leaks of the LG Q9 suggested that LG's upcoming smartphone would sport a 6.1-inch display with a notch top. And now, just days after the report first came out, the phone has been certified by South Korea's National Radio Research Agency (NRRA). This could indicate that the company is planning to launch the phone, which it said to be the rebranded version of the LG G7 Fit, in its home country soon.
The upcoming LG Q9, as listed on the NRRA website, carries the model number LM-Q925K, 91 Mobiles reported. And the name of the device, as mentioned on the web page of the certification agency reveals that the phone would be LTE enabled. However, the listing does not give out any further details about the device.
Notably, days before getting the NRRA certification, the LG Q9 was spotted on the website of Google Play Console. The listing on the platform confirmed that the phone would have Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 in its core. Previous reports suggested that the phone would run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 system-on-chip.
In addition to this, the Google Play Console listing revealed that the phone would feature a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels. Besides this, the listing indicates that the phone would come with 4GB RAM and it would run on Android 8.1 Oreo- all of which is in line with the previous leaks.
The LG Q9 has already received certification from Bluetooth SIG and with the recent certification, it seems things are moving swiftly for the company.
Notably, while the listing on the certification agency might not have divulged any details, previous leaks have given out ample details to keep us hooked. In terms of design, the LG Q7, just like the company's recent launches, would sport three buttons on the sides- two for controlling volume and one for turning the device off. The phone would sport thin bezels on the sides and on the top and bottom.
Word has it that the phone will be available in two memory variants- one with 32GB space and the other with 64GB storage space. Additionally, it would have a battery measuring 3,550mAh and come with support for NFC.
