LG launches smart TVs powered by ThinQ AI in India, price starts at Rs 32,500

Deep ThinkQ powered OLED TV runs on the company's latest Alpha 9 processor, which delivers improved screen resolution by optimising colour using AI technology

LG on Monday, July 16 2018, launched its artificial intelligence (AI) Deep ThinkQ powered OLED television in India. The Korean electronics giant had originally introduced Deep ThinkQ powered OLED TVs at Consumer Electronics Fair (CES) 2018 earlier this year and now the company is finally bringing its smart television to India. LG had launched four variants - W8, B8, C8 and E8 - of its OLED TVs at CES 2018. And the company is bringing all the four variants to India.

"AI functionality backed up with extensive research is incorporated in the televisions with the aim of delivering a unique and more intuitive experience. As a matter of fact, we have taken a step ahead to implement AI function across our range of smart televisions. At LG, our interest is in improving the user lifestyle and convenience," said Younchal Park, Director, Home Entertainment, LG Electronics India.

As far as the specifications are concerned, Deep ThinkQ powered OLED TV runs on the company's latest Alpha 9 processor, which delivers improved screen resolution by optimising colour using AI technology. Customers can speak directly speak to the LG OLED TV to perform specific functions. With Deep ThinkQ AI, customers also can switch to cinema mode with a simple voice command.

LG Deep ThinkQ OLED TVs come with self-lightning pixels and Dolby Atmos, which delivers advanced object-based 360-degree surround sound to the customers.

Deep ThinkQ powered OLED televisions also support a full palette of HDR, which includes Dolby Vision, advanced HDR by Technicolor, HDR10 Pro, and HLG Pro. These televisions also come with over 800 pre-set commands for users which work even without internet connection.

It comes with a built-in support for Google Assistant so users can control all their smart home devices with their voice. The newly introduced TVs also come with a Mobile Connection Overlay feature which enables customers to view both mobile and TV screen simultaneously.

Additionally, LG also unveiled its 2018 range of 4K Super UHD TVs with ThinQ AI, Alpha 7 processor, Dolby Atmos and Full Array Dimming in India.

LG's latest range of AI TVs come with a starting price of Rs 32,500 and go all the way up to Rs 29,49,990.
