Most of Asian stocks declined while dollar returned to its lowest in almost a year as investors assess an investigation into the U.S. president amid concern the economic recovery is faltering.

The Singapore traded SGX Nifty, an early indicator of NSE Nifty 50 index’s performance in India, was little changed at 9,904 as of 6:30 a.m.

  • U.S. stocks gyrated following reports that U.S. special counsel Robert Mueller is expanding his investigation of President Donald Trump to examine his financial dealings
  • Nasdaq Composite Index closed at an all-time high for a third straight day. while S&P 500 Index was little changed and Dow Jones Industrial Average declined
  • The Bloomberg Dollar Index was flat, at its lowest level since August after losing 0.3 percent Thursday.
