Kia Seltos: Monotone, dual tone colour options explained
Kia Seltos is already off to a flying start. The upcoming SUV received 6,046 bookings on July 16, the day Kia Motors started accepting the bookings for an initial amount of Rs 25,000. Ever since the vehicle was unveiled in India on June 20, there has been quite a buzz surrounding all its aspects, including the paint schemes. The South Korean carmaker is making sure that the customers will have plenty to choose from with eight monotone and five dual tone colour options in Seltos.
All set to be launched in India on August 22, Kia Seltos will be available in Intense Red, Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl, Punchy Orange, Intelligency Blue, Gravity Gray, Steel Silver and Clear White monotone colour options. The dual tone options will include Intense Red with Aurora Black Pearl, Steel Silver with Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl with Aurora Black Pearl, Steel Silver with punchy Orange and Glacier White Pearl with Punchy Orange.
We are expecting Kia Seltos to be priced in the range of Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). It will not only rival Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and Renault Captur but also Tata Harrier and the recently-launched MG Hector. While MG (Morris Garages) Motor had surprised us all by introducing Hector in the range of Rs 12.18 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and Rs 16.88 lakh (ex-showroom, India), a similar surprise with regard to the price of Seltos might be on the cards keeping in mind the formidable players it will be up against.
Recently, we visited Kia Motors' production facility in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, and drove the Seltos prototype. The upcoming SUV will have GT Line and Tech Line trims, with further subdivisions into several other variants based on features.
