IPL 2022: 3 Players For Whom Mumbai Indians(MI) Might Use Their Right To Match (RTM)

Mumbai Indians, IPL 2021

Mumbai Indians have a knack for picking up good players in the auction and with the entire team doing really well, it is going to be tough for them to choose the players. They have been the most successful team in the IPL history with five titles and one of the reasons behind it has been their auction strategies.

They do a lot of homework while picking up players in the auction and they have built a team in which any player can be the match-winner on the day. The defending champions had a decent IPL 2021 and they were pressing the pedal at the right time until the tournament was suspended. Here are 3 players for whom Mumbai Indians might use their right to match.

3 Players For Whom Mumbai Indians(MI) Might Use Their Right To Match:

Hardik Pandya:

Hardik Pandya will certainly be retained by the franchise as he could certainly break the banks if he gets into the auction. Mumbai will have to choose only three players to be retained and hence, the remaining players will be out in the auction for a hefty amount.

Mumbai Indians should use their RTM card for Hardik Pandya who is one of the destructive batsmen in world cricket right now and they will have to hope that his price money stays in their plans to use the RTM card. He has great six-hitting skills and if he can start bowling again, he will be a priceless asset to the team.

Suryakumar Yadav:

Suryakumar Yadav has been playing really well for the Mumbai Indians in the last three editions and he has been a key contributor at the top of the order. He will certainly bag a lot of bucks in the auctions and Mumbai should have the plans of getting him in the auction through the RTM card.

He is one of the best timers of the cricket ball and does have a wide range of shots in his kitty. He is one of the 360-degree players who can just use the pace of the bowler to his advantage. He is going to play a big role in the Indian squad for the T20 world cup and the franchises will be looking to have him in the squad.

Trent Boult:

Trent Boult has been superb for the Mumbai Indians ever since he was traded from the Delhi Capitals and he has formed a great bowling pair with the likes of Jasprit Bumrah at the other end. Boult can pick up early wickets in the powerplay and is one of the best swing bowlers in the world.

Boult picked up 8 wickets in the 7 games he played this IPL and picked up 25 wickets in the previous IPL season for the Mumbai Indians. He nails those yorkers in the blockhole at the back end of the innings and has been a great addition to the squad. Mumbai will look to get him in the auction through the RTM card.
