IISc, TalentSprint partner for executive programs in emerging and disruptive technologies

New Delhi, May 26 (PTI) Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and TalentSprint have signed a multi-year partnership to offer various executive programmes in emerging and disruptive technologies.

The first programme being launched under the partnership is an Advanced Certification Program in Digital Health and Imaging, which starts in July this year, a statement said on Tuesday.

Targeted towards professionals keen to master cutting edge tech solutions in e-health, personalised healthcare, biotech, medical devices, wearables and digital therapeutics, the six-month program will be offered in a hybrid format suitable for executive education, it added.

'Our research and teaching with emphasis on doctoral and post graduate programs are world renowned. The partnership with TalentSprint will allow us to open up executive education to individual learners,' IISc Director Anurag Kumar said.

He added that the debut program - Advanced Certification Program in Digital Health and Imaging - is at the intersection of data sciences and biomedical sciences, and the field has gathered serious momentum in the wake of COVID-19.

'The first programme reflects the current reality of acute global disruptions in healthcare, and the demands of the emerging USD 280 billion healthtech industry. This programme is ideal for current and aspiring professionals in clinical data science, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, insuretech, medical science and start-ups for whom digital healthcare will certainly be the new normal,' Santanu Paul, co-founder and CEO of TalentSprint, said.

* * * * * Snapdeal partners with Dailyhunt to provide news on its platform Snapdeal on Tuesday said it has partnered with local language content aggregator, Dailyhunt, to add news to the e-commerce platform.

'The integration of Dailyhunt's feed will provide news related to politics, sports, business, art, technology, cinema etc. The feed will also have a human interest section with motivational quotes, message of the day, and political satire,' Snapdeal said in a statement.

The news content will be available in 14 languages including Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, English, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Odiya, Punjabi, Urdu and others, it added.

'More than 70 million users visit Snapdeal every month to browse and buy from Snapdeal's vast catalogue spanning nearly 213 million listings. Snapdeal users will be able to access the news content from within Snapdeal's properties without the need to install standalone apps,' it said.
