ICC Test Rankings: Pakistan Make Gains After Thrashing Zimbabwe In The Two-Test Series

Pakistan bowlers Hasan Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Nauman Ali, have accomplished their career-best rankings following stellar performances in the ICC Test bowling rankings. The three bowlers delivered impactful performances in their Test series victory against Zimbabwe and all three bagged a fifer in the second match in Harare.

Fast bowler Hasan Ali moved six places up to the 14th spot after snaring figures of 13-4-27-5 in the first innings. His new-ball partner and left-arm seamer Shaheen Afridi’s spell of 20-5-52-5 helped him gain nine places to the 22nd position. On the other hand, Nauman Ali’s 21-3-86-5 prompted him to surge to 46th from the 54th slot to complete a demolishing performance. Hasan Ali earned the man of the series award for his 14 wickets in two fixtures at 8.92 with two fifers.

It was the first time that three players snapped five-wicket hauls for Pakistan in a Test and also only the sixth occasion of three players from the same side to pick fifers in a Test. Pakistan won both the Tests by an innings, one by 116 runs and the second by 147 runs.
