Family Fortunes will see one of its contestants propose to his girlfriend during Sunday's episode (November 1).

New host Gino D'Acampo will be moved to tears when contestant Liam pulls his partner, Nadine, to the front of the stage and gets down on one knee.

When Gino asks for "something a dog would get away with but a person wouldn't", Liam surprisingly refrains from answering.

Instead, he replies: "Well I appreciate the question Gino, but I've actually got a question to ask myself."

He then touches Nadine on the arm and asks her to follow him to the front of the stage.

Nadine and Gino are both visibly shocked as Liam takes her hand, clearly sensing the inevitable question to come.

"I love you so much," says Liam. "You've been in my life for four years now and truly I have never loved somebody so much in my whole life.

"The first time I set eyes on you I thought you were the most amazing girl I'd ever met in my entire life. And I would love it if you would marry me."

As Liam slides the ring on her finger, he asks, just to make sure: "Is that a yes?"

In floods of happy tears, Nadine nods and says "yes" as the audience break into applause.

A clearly excited Gino asks Liam how he feels, to which he replies: "Oh god, so glad she said yes!"
