Ex-Hexaware Atul Nishar's Azent snaps up B'lore co

Mumbai, Nov 20 (PTI): Education startup, AzentOverseas Education, founded by Atul Nishar of HexawareTechnologies and Aptech fame, has acquired, an online counselling platform for overseasuniversity admissions for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition is in line with our investment andgrowth strategy. We continue to look for opportunities toacquire and invest in new technologies and innovativeproducts, Nishar told PTI, adding the new company will bringconstitute at least 50 percent of the over 1,000 admissionsthat firm has targeted this year.

Azent focuses on training undergraduates/post-graduatestudents looking for overseas education.

Nishar said he has a Rs 125-crore corpus foracquisitions alone and an equal for investment to driveorganic growth, and the Bangalore-based Admission Table is thefirst acquisition his startup has done since launch recentlyand plans to take over two more firms soon.

The work to set up industrial unit will commence onNovember 26, an official said.

Fuji Silvertech has finalized its investment of Rs 200crore in Auric-Shendra node of DMIC and will provideemployment to more than 200 people.
